Did You Know??? Information on garage doors can always be helpful!

Did You Know??? That some businesses say they are a Overhead Door business and they really are NOT!!!

Look for the red ribbon! Looking at the picture above, an Overhead Door Company distributor will have a large red ribbon and the logo Overhead Door within it. You can check out the corporate site and find out where your local distributor is located by just typing in your zip code. If you do not see the red ribbon, they are NOT a franchised Overhead Door dealer. Overhead Door Company brand doors and motors can only be purchased through a franchised dealer.

Extension springs run along the side of the track with safety cables going through them. Torsion springs are across the top of the garage door on a large tube. When you have to replace a spring it is recommended to have both springs replaced because they take on the same tension and before you know it the other spring will break and you will be stuck paying for another service call. Ouch!
